Kratom tea is easy to make and remains the preferred preparation for many kratom community enthusiasts. Various methods exist that you can follow to make it, but this guide will explain a simple and effective method.

Easy Kratom Tea Recipe Ingredients

(Required: a stove and a teapot. A normal pot may be substituted for the teapot as long as it is large enough to boil the desired amount of tea.)

  • Finely crushed kratom powder – 2 teaspoons per teacup
  • Lemon Juice
  • Sugar or alternate sweetener
  • Honey (optional, but preferred over a sugar substitute. This comes highly suggested!)

For every cup of kratom tea you intend to make, add 1.5 cups of water and 1/2 a teaspoon of lemon juice into the teapot. Bring the water to a soft boil and add two leveled teaspoons of kratom per cup. Stir the pot slowly as you add the kratom. Continue to stir the pot after all the kratom has been added until the kratom powder is spread throughout the surface of the water, and break up any large clumps.

Allow the pot to boil softly for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and stir. Leave the burner on low heat and allow the kratom to seep for another 15 minutes. and then remove from heat entirely and allow to cool before serving.

Kratom tea serving suggestions:

One cup of tea with two to three packets of sugar and 1/2 a teaspoon of lemon juice. If you like honey, use less sugar and add honey to taste. The powder is left in the tea to prevent wastage, so stir often while drinking. As long as the kratom is suspended in liquid it should not bother you too much. If it does, you can use a straw to lower the amount of grit you have to deal with.

Kratom tea tips:

Don’t let the tea get warmer than a soft boil for best results. Stir the pot for a moment when you first reduce heat from boiling to warm so that the kratom doesn’t begin to settle on the bottom of the pot before it is cool enough to not burn it.? This method is easy and effective, but if you want a stronger kratom tea or a less gritty result, check out another method on our page or look at the kratom tincture guide.
